SOLD // Suzuki TS50J Gaucho 1972 Orange
As a teenager in the ‘70s with unbridled enthusiasm for anything to do with motorcycles I poured over magazines and brochures and occasionally could get a car ride to a local shop to check out the latest models. In the early 70’s smaller bikes were better suited for me and I was infatuated with junior sized 100cc/90cc/70cc/60cc dirt bikes and enduros but remember this 50cc Suzuki standing out because of its 5-speed transmission, 60mph top speed(!) and its amazing factory expansion chamber exhaust pipe. And, it was street legal!
I had been on a quest for a Suzuki Gaucho for many years but they are very hard to find in decent condition. In November 2022 I saw one nearby on Facebook marketplace and acquired it the same day.
This is an original bike It starts first kick, idles, revs and runs through the (5) gears beautifully and is remarkably quiet.
The bike has had a ton of work done and a number of NOS and new parts installed. Tires/tubes, side cover “50” badges, new clutch/break levers, front fender, taillight lens, etc.
