sold || Yamaha yz125 blue 2005
In 2020 I decided to get back into motocross and riding dirt bikes after a 12 year hiatus. Studying up on the latest and best MX bikes I got caught up in the 125 2-stroke phenomena and the brilliant-since-2005 Yamaha YZ125.
I found a virtually brand new YZ125 for sale in southern Wisconsin. This bike had less than one hour on it and was completely mint, perfect actually. I bought it on the spot..
Over the winter I made a ton of upgrades, focusing on finding only red-anodized billet parts to really set the blue YZ apart.. I started riding this year and have put about five hours on the bike - it is still immaculate, like a new bike and runs great with the Pro Circuit pipe and silencer.
However, my (new) riding buddies are all on four-strokes and, after trying 250Fs and 450Fs I bought a Honda CRF250R from Pro Circuit and have put this 125 ripper on the market.
This bike shows virtually no use (I am easy on bikes and a cautious rider). The original tires and seat cover are like new and there are virtually no scuffs.
Here is the list of top-level (expensive) upgrades:
Ride Engineering front brake cable stay
Applied Engineering red anodized upper triple tree & bar clamp
Renthal Handlebars
